"Mah Na Mah Na" hosted by Mark Morenz and the Children's Music Collective on WEFT 90.1 FM in Champaign, IL

Type: FM Radio, Webcast
Audience: Children 5 and Up (including adults!)
Reach: East-Central Illinois
Format: Children's Music. Family Music. Kid-Friendly Music. Comedy. Music for Tweens/Teens.
Schedule: Saturdays 8am to 9am CST

Description: WEFT's children's music show, originated by the father/son combo of Mark and Travis Morenz (On-the-air since February of 2004) and now hosted by a rotation of Gale/Valentina Stafford, Jill/Kyler Morenz, and sometimes still Mark 'n Trav. Show description: Think "Mister Rogers" meets "Doctor Demento". A fast paced combination of children's and novelty songs, playful parent/child banter, live guests, contrived comedy bits, and other fun stuff! Trav (who turned 10 in March of '07), is a community favorite for his dead-on "Zool" impression and lack of patience with his Dad. Trav also runs the board as often as not, which makes him the youngest DJ you've ever heard. Besides music for kids, we like to feature artists that were, in fact, kids themselves (Little Stevie Wonder, Shannon Curfman, Ryan Holladay, Billy Gilman, Tony Goldberg, etc.). We also try to be educational-- there is virtually no genre that we haven't introduced on the show. Children's Music and Comedy (some of it even on purpose) for Children, Teens, and the young at heart...we hope you'll tune in for seat-of-your-pants radio!

How to Submit Material: We won't play anything that disrespectful of kids or too adult-themed. But we will play edgy comedy (we've played old cuts from Bill Cosby and Steve Martin) so don't be shy about sending us something off-beat or novelty.
